No Child Left Behind?

A recent UN survey (I can hear the Right groan with irritation) found that nearly 50 million children are living in poverty in the United States. That's a substantial number for a developed country (and one of the richest on the planet). It's a shot in the arm for anyone who insists that social spending needs to be reined in to support the war or that we push through controversial changes in programs like Social Security and Medicare.

The bin Laden Trail

Remember that twit in a cape also known as bin Laden? Well he's still out there and according to this article the trail has gone cold. Well, that's just splendid. I'm glad that after all these years, the spiritual head of the most evil organization on the planet is still hangin' out with his buddies somewhere out there.
