Does Anyone Understand the Christians who Voted for Bush?

How on Earth did Bush gain a Christian following? How can he dare call himself a Christian. What Would Jesus Do? Well he would not have invaded Iraq on shoddy intelligence and a hunch. He would not have called the UN "irrelevant." In fact, Jesus would not have even retaliated against Al Qaeda. Jesus was a pacifist first and foremost. Here are some passages:

Thou shalt not kill (Exodus 20:13).

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven (Matthew 18:21-22).

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men (Matthew 5-6).

Note that Jesus did not explicitly say anything about executing prisoners, partial birth abortion, stem cell research, gun control, or gay marriage.
