The Intelligence of a Mynah Bird

11:33 PM

A Mynah Bird"I'm not so sure it's credible to quote leading news organizations about...oh, never mind."
—George 'Dubya' Bush, 3rd Presidential Debate, Tempe, Arizona 10/13/2004.

Yup. He said it.

And this on the same day that Rush "Oxycontin" Limbaugh said that you could take "everything that Kerry believes and put it in a thimble and still have enough room for the intelligence of a mynah bird." The only suprising thing about that, Limbaugh knows what a mynah bird is. The delusion continues.

I like Slate's analysis of what happened at the debates, a lot of good calls and though I initially loathed Saletan's fence-sitting docility, I have figured out how admirable his ability to call a spade "a spade" is. Check it out for yourself.

And if the idea that all the rich people support Bush scares and irritates you, take heart, it's only the rich, not the ultra-rich. Here are some of Kerry's loaded friends and, I have to say, among them are some genuine do-gooders and visionaries including the unfathomable oracle also known as Warren Buffet.

And for all you voters planning to exercise that ballot, check now to make sure you have been registered correctly and have the correct registration materials. Since this is an electronic election year in heated battle there has been much fraud leading to instances of disenfranchisement. Illinois, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin are reporting irregularities. Make the call, save yourself the hassle on Nov. 2nd.

In the aftermath of the debates when so much dishonesty, ambiguity and poo are flying here's a look at the history of dishonesty and the Chief Exec.

If you care to wade through some of the logic, this is an excellent article on the tax-cut battle. Unfortunately, no one seems to cite the actual salary cap figures in these articles (and this one is from www.factcheck.org) so you'd have to find those on yer own.

Factcheck.org is running some great articles in general so grab a beverage and peruse....

Until the new week begins, peace, blessings, and cheers.
